City of Italy "Clean Up Day"

On Saturday, June 5th there will be a clean up day. City of Italy residents can bring a loaded truck or trailer to the CSC Landfill in Avalon for disposal. Residents will need to have their current water bill in-hand. CSC will be open from 7:00am to 11:00am. (Continued…)

Boil Water Notice Cancelled

It is no longer necessary to boil the water. Water samples have been taken to the test lab and all results show no signs of harmful bacteria or other microbes. All testing and the results from the testing were monitored by TCEQ. (Continued…)

What a surprise, what a big surprise to get this letter from Joe Grubbs, county attorney. It turns out the way I read it, any municipality can enact illegal annexations or probably anything else within the city and if it is kept quiet and no action is filed against it within two years; it is automatically beyond any action. In other words, the illegal annexations that were carried out by the City of Italy are now legal. (Continued…)
