Palmer to consider sale of beer and wine
Based upon Election Administrator Jane Anderson’s certification of qualified signatures on a Local Option Petition submitted for the City of Palmer, Ellis County Commissioners ordered that an election be held in the City of Palmer “TO LEGALIZE THE SALE OF BEER AND WINE” on November 2, 2010, the next uniform election date. Caution urged in use of fireworks

Commissioners approve return to work policies

Energy Efficient Appliance Rebate Program
This April, Texans can receive rebates on qualifying appliances purchased between April 16 and April 25. Texas received more than $23 million from the U.S. Department of Energy to establish the Energy Efficient Appliance Rebate Program, and will administer the rebates through the Comptroller’s State Energy Conservation Office.
