Alcohol and Drug Education Program, is a new state approved and mandated DWI Program here in Ellis County, that will provide DWI classes certified by the Texas Department of State Health Services. Couch Street Bridge is being upgraded for the better but estimated completion of the project may take 3 to 6 months. Foul weather and hard rock have slowed the demolition project but a smoother driving surface and a wider bridge will prove it to be worth the wait. (Continued…)

During today’s storms, a bolt of lighting struck one of the electrical transformers that supplies power to the elementary school in Italy. The Italy Fire Department responded to make sure that there was no immediate danger. Oncor responded quickly and the power was back on within a couple of hours. (Continued…)
