Lightning strikes cause power outage at Stafford Elementary
During today’s storms, a bolt of lighting struck one of the electrical transformers that supplies power to the elementary school in Italy. The Italy Fire Department responded to make sure that there was no immediate danger. Oncor responded quickly and the power was back on within a couple of hours. (Continued…)

Thursday afternoon, Hosam Maher Husein Smadi, a 19 year old Jordanian, living and working in Italy, was arrested by the FBI for allegedly attempting to bomb The Fountain Place, a glass skyscraper with 60 floors, one of the tallest buildings in downtown Dallas. (Continued…)

'Big Rig' stuck in the mud
Last evening during the blinding rain storm Logistics Inc.’s big rig took the turn too wide on exit 386 and went off into the muddy ground. Consequently being stuck in the mud all evening. George Scott Memorial Park Grand Opening
The George Scott Memorial Park was really “swinging” Monday evening. It was the grand opening of the new city park. Children were seen everywhere swinging on swings, jumping on spring toys and sliding down bright yellow slides. The park is a wonderful addition to our town and everyone was having a good time.
