During today’s storms, a bolt of lighting struck one of the electrical transformers that supplies power to the elementary school in Italy. Last evening during the blinding rain storm Logistics Inc.’s big rig took the turn too wide on exit 386 and went off into the muddy ground. Consequently being stuck in the mud all evening. The George Scott Memorial Park was really “swinging” Monday evening. It was the grand opening of the new city park. Children were seen everywhere swinging on swings, jumping on spring toys and sliding down bright yellow slides. The park is a wonderful addition to our town and everyone was having a good time.
