Meals-on-Wheels Golf Benefit is Full
The 22nd Annual Meals-on-Wheels Golf Benefit, set for September 17, at Hidden Creek Golf Course, is ready for the big day! “Our field is now full!” said Ike Vera, Golf Benefit Chairperson. Local teens take part in Helping the Homebound
The Methodist Children’s Home van meandered along its Waxahachie route on a hot June day with a group of giggling girls in tow. Amongst the chattering, the teens appeared to embrace their mission with both passion and purpose. Their goal: to deliver hot lunches to the elderly and disabled clients of Meals-on-Wheels. Meal-on-Wheels receives support from Amon G. Carter Foundation

Help For Hungry Pets
This weekend, a new program will begin in Waxahachie to help Meals-on-Wheels clients who cannot afford to buy pet food. “For a homebound person, a pet brings company, but not being able to feed that pet can be a source of heartache,” said Tracy Robinson, director of client services. (Continued…)
