In a packed library of Athletic, Band and FFA parents, Greg Shropshire of the CPA firm Pattillo, Brown and Hill, LLP of Hillsboro, made recommendations and fielded questions regarding the legalities of booster clubs. On Tuesday, July 13 there will be a meeting for parents of athletes of Italy High School. There will be a representative from the CPA firm Patillo, Brown and Hill on hand to field questions regarding laws on the implementation of parent support organizations. Changes within the law now requires Booster Clubs to separate from their ISD’s umbrella. These requirements and guidelines with be discussed at the meeting Thursday, March 25, 2010 at 6:30 p.m. in the Italy High School Library. Italy Athletic Booster Club President, Becky Milligan, has been enthused about IHS Baseball for many years. After all, son, Josh who is a junior, has been playing Varsity since his 9th grade year. However, she has seen the need for financial support for the team by local residents and merchants for some time and last year implemented the sale of fence signs for the club. (Continued…)
